Description
Crispy and flavorful Air Fryer Jalapeno Poppers made by stuffing fresh jalapenos with a creamy cheese blend, coated in savory bacon bits, and air fried to perfection for a quick and delicious appetizer.
Ingredients
Scale
Jalapenos
- 10 jalapenos
Cheese Mixture
- 8 oz cream cheese
- 2 oz Colby Jack cheese, shredded
- 4 oz cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 tsp garlic (minced or powder)
- 2 tsp ranch seasoning
- ¼ cup green onion, chopped
Topping
- 5 oz bag of bacon bits
Instructions
- Prepare Jalapenos: Slice the jalapenos in half lengthwise and carefully scoop out all the seeds and membranes to reduce the heat and create space for the filling.
- Make Cheese Filling: In a large bowl, combine the cream cheese, shredded Colby Jack cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic, ranch seasoning, and chopped green onion. Mix thoroughly until well combined and creamy.
- Stuff Jalapenos: Fill each jalapeno half generously with the cheese mixture, making sure to evenly distribute the filling.
- Coat with Bacon Bits: Dip each stuffed jalapeno into the bacon bits, pressing gently so the bacon bits stick all around the cheese filling.
- Air Fry Jalapenos: Place the stuffed and bacon-coated jalapenos into the air fryer basket in a single layer, avoiding overcrowding.
- Cook: Air fry at 350°F (175°C) for 4-5 minutes until the jalapenos are tender and the cheese is melted and bubbly with crispy bacon bite coating.
Notes
- Use gloves when handling jalapenos to avoid irritation.
- Adjust the amount of garlic and ranch seasoning to taste.
- You can substitute bacon bits with chopped cooked bacon for extra texture.
- Serve immediately for best texture and flavor.
- The air frying time may vary depending on your air fryer model, check for doneness accordingly.
