Description

This vibrant Chipotle Ranch Dressing blends creamy sour cream and mayo with smoky chipotle chili, fresh cilantro, and zesty lime juice to deliver a smoky, tangy, and flavorful sauce. Perfect for drizzling over salads, dipping veggies, or adding a kick to tacos and grilled dishes. Easy to prepare in just 10 minutes with a food processor.

Ingredients

Scale

Dressing Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • Juice from 1/2 lime
  • 1 chipotle chili pepper in adobo sauce
  • 1 teaspoon adobo sauce (from the canned chipotle chilies)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup lightly packed fresh cilantro leaves
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: Add the sour cream or Greek yogurt, mayonnaise, lime juice, chipotle chili pepper with 1 teaspoon of adobo sauce, Worcestershire sauce, cilantro, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper into the bowl of a food processor.
  2. Process Until Smooth: Blend on high for about 30 seconds until the dressing is well combined and smooth. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
  3. Chill and Serve: You can serve the dressing immediately, but for best flavor, chill it in the refrigerator for at least one hour. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for a few days.

Notes

  • Using Greek yogurt instead of sour cream can reduce fat and add protein.
  • The heat level can be adjusted by adding more or fewer chipotle peppers or adobo sauce.
  • Worcestershire sauce adds umami but can be omitted to keep it vegetarian.
  • Keep the dressing refrigerated and consume within 3 to 4 days for best freshness.
