Ingredients
Scale
Pretzel Coating
- 4 cups small pretzels (mini pretzels or pretzel twists)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
White Chocolate Drizzle
- 1 cup white chocolate chips or white chocolate melting wafers
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for baking the cinnamon sugar-coated pretzels.
- Prepare Cinnamon Sugar Mixture: In a large bowl, combine the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon thoroughly to create a fragrant cinnamon sugar coating.
- Coat Pretzels with Butter: Place the pretzels in a large mixing bowl and pour the melted unsalted butter over them, tossing gently to ensure each pretzel is evenly coated with butter.
- Toss Pretzels in Cinnamon Sugar: Immediately after buttering, transfer the pretzels to the cinnamon sugar mixture and toss until all pretzels are evenly coated with the sweet and spicy mixture.
- Bake Pretzels: Spread the coated pretzels in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone mat. Bake them in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes, stirring halfway through to ensure even baking and coating.
- Melt White Chocolate: While the pretzels are baking, gently melt the white chocolate chips or melting wafers in a microwave-safe bowl in 20-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth. Stir in the vanilla extract for added flavor.
- Drizzle and Cool: Remove the pretzels from the oven and while still warm, drizzle the melted white chocolate evenly over the top using a spoon or piping bag. Allow the pretzels to cool completely on the baking sheet, letting the white chocolate harden before serving.
Notes
- You can substitute pretzel twists with any small pretzel shapes that you prefer.
- For a stronger cinnamon flavor, increase the cinnamon up to 3 teaspoons.
- If you don’t have vanilla extract, you can omit it or add a few drops of almond extract for a different flavor profile.
- Store the finished pretzels in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
- Use white chocolate melting wafers if you want easier melting and a smoother drizzle.
