Description

This refreshing Cucumber Dill Dip is a creamy and tangy appetizer perfect for parties and gatherings. Made with softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, fresh dill, and crisp cucumbers, it offers a perfect blend of flavors with a hint of spice from Sriracha. Easy to prepare and serve with chips, crackers, or fresh vegetables.

Ingredients

Scale

Base

  • 16 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 2 cups mayonnaise

Vegetables & Herbs

  • 2 large cucumbers (peeled and chopped)
  • 2 tsp fresh dill (chopped)
  • 2 tsp dried minced onions

Flavorings

  • 2 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 tsp Sriracha sauce
  • 2 tsp kosher salt

Instructions

  1. Prepare the cucumbers: Peel the cucumbers and chop them into small pieces. For a less watery dip, optionally squeeze out some excess moisture using a clean kitchen towel or paper towels.
  2. Mix the base: In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and mayonnaise until smooth and creamy using a hand mixer or whisk.
  3. Add flavorings: Stir in the fresh dill, dried minced onions, lemon juice, Sriracha sauce, and kosher salt into the cream cheese mixture until evenly distributed.
  4. Combine cucumbers: Fold the chopped cucumbers gently into the mixture to maintain some crunch and texture.
  5. Chill and serve: Cover the dip and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld. Serve cold with chips, crackers, or fresh vegetables.

Notes

  • For extra creaminess, ensure the cream cheese is fully softened before mixing.
  • Adjust the amount of Sriracha for desired spiciness.
  • To reduce wateriness, drain cucumbers or use seedless cucumbers.
  • This dip can be prepared a day ahead and stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
  • Great as a spread for sandwiches or wraps as well.
