Scale
Liquid Ingredients
- 1 cup brewed green tea, cooled
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons honey (or maple syrup for vegan option)
- 1/4 cup hot water
Solid Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
- 3 tablespoons unflavored Vegan Gelatin (or agar-agar for vegan option)
Instructions
- Brew the tea: Brew one cup of green tea and allow it to cool to room temperature to ensure it doesn’t affect the gelatin setting process.
- Mix flavors: In a bowl, combine the cooled green tea with fresh lemon juice and your choice of sweetener—honey or maple syrup—and stir in the freshly grated ginger to infuse the mixture with its spicy aroma.
- Dissolve gelatin: Over low heat on the stovetop, dissolve the vegan gelatin or agar-agar in 1/4 cup of hot water, whisking continuously to prevent lumps and create a smooth gelatin solution.
- Combine mixtures: Add the gelatin solution to the green tea mixture, whisking thoroughly until the gelatin is fully incorporated and the mixture is smooth.
- Pour and set: Carefully pour the combined mixture into gummy molds and place them in the refrigerator for 2 to 3 hours to allow the gummies to firm up properly.
- Remove and serve: Once fully set, gently pop the gummies out of their molds and enjoy this healthy, flavorful treat any time of day.
Notes
- Use filtered water to brew green tea for the best flavor.
- If using agar-agar, gently heat but do not boil to preserve its gelling power.
- Adjust sweetness to taste by varying the amount of honey or maple syrup.
- Store gummies in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
- Ensure the green tea is fully cooled before mixing with gelatin to avoid affecting texture.
