Ingredients
Scale
Sliders
- 1 bag or 12 individual Hawaiian Rolls
- 1/4 lb Salami (about 16 large deli slices)
- 1/4 lb Pepperoni (about 16 large deli slices)
- 1/4 lb Turkey slices
- 8 slices Provolone Cheese
- 4 tablespoons Kerry Gold Garlic Herb Butter (melted)
Slaw Topping
- 1 small head Iceberg Lettuce (shredded)
- 1 small Red Onion (thinly sliced)
- 1/4 cup Pepperoncini (diced)
- 1/2 cup Olive Oil Mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon Red Wine Vinegar
- 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
- 2 teaspoons Yellow Mustard
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper
- 2 tablespoons Parmesan Cheese (freshly grated, divided)
- 1 tablespoon Fresh Italian Herbs
- 1-2 large Tomatoes (thinly sliced)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven and Prep Rolls: Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally and place the bottom halves evenly into a 9×13-inch casserole dish.
- Layer Meats: Layer the salami, pepperoni, and turkey slices evenly on top of the bottom rolls, ensuring each gets a good distribution of meats.
- Add Cheese: Place the sliced provolone cheese evenly on top of the layered meats to create a melty, creamy layer.
- Top and Butter: Place the top halves of the Hawaiian rolls over the cheese and meat layers. Pour the melted garlic herb butter evenly over the entire top of the rolls. Cover the casserole dish tightly with aluminum foil.
- Bake the Sliders: Bake the covered sliders in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, allowing the cheese to melt and the butter to soak into the rolls.
- Prepare Slaw Ingredients: While the sliders bake, combine shredded iceberg lettuce, thinly sliced red onions, and diced pepperoncini in a large mixing bowl.
- Make Dressing: In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil mayonnaise, red wine vinegar, olive oil, yellow mustard, 1 tablespoon of freshly grated parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper to dress the slaw.
- Toss Slaw: Pour the dressing over the shredded lettuce mixture and toss well until all ingredients are fully coated with the dressing.
- Cool and Assemble: When the sliders are done baking, remove the casserole from the oven and allow to cool for 5 minutes. Then gently remove the top rolls from the sliders.
- Add Tomato and Slaw: Place thinly sliced tomatoes onto the bottom buns, then spoon a generous amount of the prepared slaw on top of the tomatoes.
- Finish and Serve: Carefully place the top rolls back onto each slider. Sprinkle fresh Italian herbs and the remaining parmesan cheese over the sliders for an added burst of flavor. Serve the sliders warm and enjoy!
Notes
- If you prefer a spicier slider, add extra pepperoncini or a dash of hot sauce to the slaw dressing.
- Make sure not to overbake the sliders to keep the rolls soft and prevent them from drying out.
- You can substitute the meats with your favorites or use all turkey for a leaner option.
- For a vegetarian version, replace the meats with grilled vegetables and use vegetarian cheese.
- The slaw can be prepared in advance and refrigerated to save time on serving day.
