Crunchy Chicken Burgers
- 500 grams chicken breast, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 large egg
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

Instructions
- Mix Dry Ingredients for Bread: In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
- Add Olive Oil: Stir in 1 tablespoon of olive oil to the flour mixture.
- Form Dough: Gradually pour in 1/2 cup of warm water while stirring to form a dough.
- Knead Dough: Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Rest Dough: Cover the dough with a clean kitchen towel and let it rest for 20 minutes.
- Prepare Chicken Mixture: Place 500 grams of minced chicken breast into a separate mixing bowl.
- Add Spices: Add 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1/2 teaspoon of onion powder, 1 teaspoon of paprika, and 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper to the chicken.
- Bind Mixture: Crack 1 large egg into the bowl and mix everything together until fully combined.
- Add Breadcrumbs: Stir in 1/4 cup of breadcrumbs to help bind the mixture.
- Form Patties: Divide the chicken mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty.
- Heat Oil: Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large frying pan over medium heat.
- Cook Chicken Patties: Once the oil is hot, carefully add the chicken patties to the pan and cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side, until golden brown and cooked through.
- Divide Dough: While the chicken cooks, divide the rested dough into 4 equal pieces.
- Shape Bread: Shape each piece of dough into a small ball, then flatten each ball into a disc.
- Cook Panbread: Heat a clean, non-stick pan over medium heat and cook each dough disc for about 2-3 minutes on each side, until lightly golden and cooked through.
- Cool Bread: Remove the cooked bread from the pan and let it cool slightly on a wire rack.
- Toast Buns: Slice the burger buns in half and lightly toast them in the same pan or use a toaster.
- Assemble Burgers – Lettuce: Place a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun.
- Add Tomato: Add a slice of tomato on top of the lettuce.
- Add Chicken Patty: Place a chicken patty on top of the tomato.
- Finish Assembly: Spread mayonnaise on the top half of each bun and place it on top of the burger to complete it.
- Serve: Serve the panbread alongside the crunchy chicken burgers while warm.

- Use warm water to help activate the baking powder and create a soft panbread dough.
