Ingredients
Scale
Pretzels
- 12 oz. bag honey wheat pretzel twists (or buttery pretzel twists)
Seasoning Mix
- 1 stick (8 Tbsp) butter, melted
- 1 (1 oz.) envelope dry ranch dressing mix, divided
- ½ tsp lemon pepper
- ½ tsp kosher salt
- ½ tsp garlic salt
- ⅛ to ¼ tsp cayenne pepper
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 250 degrees Fahrenheit to prepare for baking the pretzels to a crispy finish.
- Prepare Pretzels: Place the pretzels inside a gallon-sized Ziploc bag to make seasoning and tossing easier.
- Mix Seasoning: In a medium bowl, combine the melted butter, roughly half of the dry ranch dressing mix, lemon pepper, kosher salt, garlic salt, and cayenne pepper thoroughly.
- Add Seasoning to Pretzels: Pour the butter and seasoning mixture into the bag with the pretzels, then seal the bag securely.
- Toss Pretzels: Shake and mix the bag well to coat all the pretzels evenly with the butter-seasoning mixture.
- Add Remaining Ranch: Open the bag and add the remaining ranch dressing mix, then shake again to enhance the flavor coating.
- Arrange Pretzels on Baking Sheet: Spread the pretzels out evenly on a foil-lined baking sheet to ensure they bake uniformly.
- Bake: Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally to keep the pretzels drying evenly and becoming toasty.
- Cool: Remove the pretzels from the oven and allow them to cool to firm up and develop their full flavor.
- Serve: Enjoy your homemade seasoned pretzels as a snack or party appetizer.
Notes
- Use a gallon-sized Ziploc bag for easy mixing and coating of pretzels.
- Adjust cayenne pepper quantity to match your spice preference.
- Stirring the pretzels occasionally during baking helps them become evenly toasted and crisp.
- These pretzels should be stored in an airtight container to maintain freshness.
- Honey wheat pretzels add a subtle sweetness; buttery pretzels can be used as a richer alternative.
