- 1 cup oats (quick or old fashioned)
- 1/2 cup raw cashews
- 1/2 cup dates
- 1/4 cup unsweetened coconut flakes
- 3 tablespoons Tangerine Omega Pals*
Instructions
- Combine Ingredients: Add oats, raw cashews, dates, unsweetened coconut flakes, and Tangerine Omega Pals to a food processor to prepare for blending.
- Process Mixture: Pulse the ingredients until they are finely chopped and start to stick together, forming a cohesive ball-like mixture.
- Form Energy Bites: Using a tablespoon, scoop out the mixture and transfer it to your palm. Roll it into a bite-sized ball. Place each energy bite into a container and continue with the remaining mixture until all are formed.
- Store Properly: Store the energy bites in an airtight container in the refrigerator to keep them fresh. For children, a proper serving is approximately 2.5 energy bites per day.
Notes
- Use quick or old fashioned oats as preferred; both work well.
- Ensure dates are pitted before adding to the processor.
- Tangerine Omega Pals adds a citrusy flavor and nutritional boost; substitute with other fruit-flavored omega supplements if unavailable.
- Keep the mixture slightly sticky to help the energy bites hold their shape.
- Store the bites in the fridge for up to 1 week for best freshness.
